Courses Offered


NRA Basic Pistol Course:

This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is approximately 8 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet. Students will take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and upon successful completion receive a course completion certificate.

Note: This course qualifies as 8 hours towards your Illinois concealed carry training requirement.

Florida Concealed Carry Course:

This course teaches all the necessary skills for safely carrying a concealed weapon, and satisfies the Florida CCW training requirement. You can legally carry a concealed weapon in Missouri with this permit. This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is approximately 8 hours long and includes classroom and range time. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet. Students will take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and upon successful completion receive a course completion certificate. The Florida permit is good for 7 years. Another benefit of this class is that it satisfies the NRA prerequisite training requirement if you intend to take more advanced NRA courses such as Personal Protection in the Home, or Personal Protection Outside the Home.

Missouri Concealed Carry (CCW):

The Missouri CCW class covers even more than what is required by Missouri law (RSMO Chapters 571 and 563). In addition, this class teaches how to properly aim and fire a handgun. Students will be taught rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for fun and skill development. Upon successful completion students will be presented with a training certificate which is required for obtaining their Missouri CCW permit.


Note: A valid Missouri CCW permit has the greatest number of state reciprocity for any of our CCW courses.

Illinois Concealed Carry:

The Illinois Concealed Carry 8 Hr. and 16 Hr. classes are designed to cover everything required by Illinois law to prepare you to legally carry a concealed hangun in Illinois. Class topics include handgun selection, storage, use, cleaning, holsters, marksmanship, ethics, Illinois law, etc. If you have any qualifying credits for previous firearms training, they may qualify as part of your Illinois training requirement. Previous training credits are determined by the Illinois State Police, and proof of the prior training will be required. If you have no previous firearm training, you will need to register for the 16 hour course.
